There are four main apps for buying from China in Uzbekistan: Taobao for the widest choice, Pinduoduo for low-priced everyday items, 1688 for wholesale and factory prices, and Poizon (Dewu) for authentic branded sneakers and clothing. Sellers on all four mostly ship only within China, so you enter a cargo company’s China warehouse as the address. AliExpress delivers to Uzbekistan itself, while Temu is blocked in Uzbekistan. Below are each platform’s strengths and weak points, how payment works and who each one suits.
Key points
- Taobao is the easiest place for a first purchase: the widest choice, and the app has an English interface.
- Everyday items, homeware and kids’ clothing are often cheaper on Pinduoduo, but the app is Chinese-only.
- 1688 is a wholesale platform: many sellers have a minimum order. Buying many units of the same item for a shop means the series rate.
- Poizon (Dewu) is for authentic brands: items are checked before they ship. Branded cargo has its own rate.
- Temu has been blocked in Uzbekistan since March 2025. AliExpress delivers itself, but since August 2026 some banks have stopped card payments to it.

Which app suits whom — the short answer
| App | Strength | Best for | Need cargo? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taobao (淘宝) | Widest choice, official brands on Tmall | First purchase, anything | Yes |
| Pinduoduo (拼多多) | Cheaper everyday items, group buying | Bargain hunters | Yes |
| 1688 | Factory and wholesale prices | Shops buying many identical units | Yes |
| Poizon (得物 Dewu) | Authentic brands, checked before shipping | Branded sneakers and clothing | Yes |
| AliExpress | Delivers to Uzbekistan itself | Skipping cargo altogether | No |
You don’t have to stick to one app: it pays to search for the same item by photo on Taobao and Pinduoduo and compare prices. The DTD address works the same in every app.
How buying through cargo works
Get a DTD ID and a China address
Sign up in our Telegram bot — your ID appears instantly, and the “✈️ Авиа адрес” (air) and “🚚 Авто адрес” (road) buttons give you the address with your ID already in it.
Buy in the app yourself
Choose a product on Taobao, Pinduoduo, 1688 or Poizon, enter the DTD China warehouse as the delivery address, and pay the platform for the goods.
From our warehouse to your door
Once the parcel reaches our China warehouse, it travels to Uzbekistan by air (4–7 days) or road (20–25 days). Cargo is charged by weight and paid after weighing in Tashkent.
Taobao (淘宝) — the widest choice
China’s largest online marketplace: clothing, shoes, homeware, accessories — almost everything. Official brand stores are in its Tmall (天猫) section.
- App: on the App Store and Google Play, with an English interface in settings.
- Payment: Visa, Mastercard or Alipay. Foreign-card payments over ¥200 usually carry a 3% fee.
- Downside: dozens of shops sell the same item — you need to know how to pick a seller.
- Cargo rate: regular goods from 9.49 $/kg by air; branded goods from Tmall go at the brand rate.
Taobao has its own international shipping too, but it doesn’t work for every seller or every product. That is why most buyers use a cargo warehouse.
Pinduoduo (拼多多) — low-priced everyday items
Known for its prices: everyday items, homeware and kids’ clothing are often cheaper than on Taobao. The “拼单” (group buy) button lowers the price further.
- App: Chinese only. On iPhone it’s in the App Store; on Android it hasn’t been on Google Play since 2023 — use the official site, pinduoduo.com.
- Sign-up: with a +998 number and an SMS code.
- Payment: Visa or Mastercard — Pinduoduo adds a 3% fee (at least ¥2). Humo, Uzcard and Apple Pay don’t work.
- Downside: a suspiciously cheap item with a brand name is usually a copy. For the real thing, use the “百亿补贴” section or an official store.
1688 — wholesale and factory prices
1688 is Alibaba’s domestic wholesale market. Factories and wholesalers sell here, so the price drops as the quantity grows. It suits Instagram and Telegram shops and market traders best.
- Minimum order: “起批” or “起订” on the product page — they won’t sell fewer units than that. Some sellers sell single units (“1件起批”).
- Price tiers: the page shows several prices — for example 2–49 units, 50–199 units, 200 and more.
- App and payment: Chinese; you can sign in to 1688 with a Taobao account. A foreign Visa/Mastercard works on some listings, but not reliably — check on the payment page.
- Talking to the seller: in wholesale, colour, size and packaging are usually agreed in advance.
- Cargo rate: several identical units go at the series rate: 11.5 $/kg by air, 7.5 $/kg by road.
Buying to resell? Work out the price in advance — goods, payment fee and cargo together: see the landed cost guide and the calculator. Ready-made Chinese phrases for sellers are in a separate article.
Poizon (得物 Dewu) — authentic branded sneakers and clothing
Dewu (得物) is a marketplace for branded sneakers, clothing and accessories. Its key difference: the platform itself checks each item’s authenticity before it ships to the buyer (“先鉴别,后发货” — check first, ship second).
- Two separate apps: the Chinese Dewu (得物) and the international POIZON. Prices, payment and delivery terms differ between them. The DTD address is used with Dewu, which ships within China.
- Payment: foreign cards don’t always go through — check the payment page before you buy.
- Cargo rate: branded goods — 13 $/kg by air, 7.5 $/kg by road. Sneakers are weighed with their box, so they weigh more than the pair alone.
Brands aren’t only on Poizon
You can also buy authentic branded goods from official stores on Tmall (“旗舰店”) and in Pinduoduo’s “百亿补贴” section. The cargo rate depends on the item, not the platform.
What about AliExpress and Temu?
AliExpress delivers to Uzbekistan itself — no cargo address needed. The same item is often pricier there than on Taobao or Pinduoduo, because international shipping is built into the price. Since August 2026 some Uzbek banks have stopped Visa and Mastercard payments to AliExpress: the platform isn’t registered with Uzbekistan’s tax authorities, though there is no official decision to block it. Check with your bank before paying.
Temu is the international platform of Pinduoduo’s owner. It has been blocked in Uzbekistan since 20 March 2025 for failing to meet local registration rules. As of March 2026 the block was still in place over unpaid taxes.
Payment, language and minimum order in one table
| Taobao | Pinduoduo | 1688 | Poizon (Dewu) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| App language | Chinese, English available | Chinese only | Chinese | Chinese |
| Visa / Mastercard | Yes | Yes (3%, at least ¥2) | Sometimes | Not always |
| Minimum order | 1 unit | 1 unit | Often several units | 1 unit |
| DTD cargo rate | Regular or brand | Regular or brand | Series | Brand |
Which to choose: 4 situations
- First time, 1–2 things for yourself — Taobao: wide choice, and the interface can switch to English. See the Taobao guide.
- Low-priced everyday items, homeware, kids’ clothing — Pinduoduo. See the Pinduoduo guide.
- 20–100 identical units for your shop — 1688 and the series rate. Order one sample first.
- Authentic Nike, Adidas or other brands — Poizon (Dewu) or an official Tmall store; the brand rate applies to cargo.
One rule for every app: the address and your ID
The DTD China address is the same in every app. You get it in the bot and save it once in each app. Your DTD ID must appear twice — on the name line and on the address line. For road cargo, “(By land)” stays at the end of both lines.

Cargo cost depends on weight and rate, not the app
| Rate | ✈️ Air (4–7 days) | 🚚 Road (20–25 days) |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | 9.49 $/kg | 5.5 $/kg (5.8 $/kg to the regions) |
| Series (several identical items) | 11.5 $/kg | 7.5 $/kg |
| Brand | 13 $/kg | 7.5 $/kg |
Transit is counted from the day the parcel reaches our China warehouse. Large but light items (toys, chairs, plastic containers) are charged by volume. All prices are on the tariffs page; work out the total with the goods in the calculator.
Whichever app you use, the prohibited list is the same: phones, computers, tablets, medicines, vitamins and supplements, and food are not shipped; perfume and power banks go by road only. The full list is on the customs page.
Frequently asked questions
Which Chinese shopping app is best for buyers in Uzbekistan?
It depends on what you need. Taobao for a first purchase and the widest choice, Pinduoduo for low-priced everyday items, 1688 for wholesale and shops, Poizon (Dewu) for authentic branded sneakers and clothing. With all four you enter a cargo company’s China warehouse as the delivery address.
Is Taobao or Pinduoduo cheaper?
Everyday items, homeware and kids’ clothing are often cheaper on Pinduoduo, while Taobao has a wider choice and an easier interface. The best approach is to search for the same item by photo in both apps and compare.
Can I buy a single unit on 1688?
Some sellers sell single units (“1件起批”), but most have a minimum order — check the number next to “起批” on the product page. For one or two items, Taobao or Pinduoduo is easier.
Are the sneakers on Poizon authentic?
Dewu (Poizon) checks each item’s authenticity before shipping it to the buyer — that is the platform’s main difference. With DTD cargo these goods travel at the brand rate: 13 $/kg by air, 7.5 $/kg by road.
Does Temu work in Uzbekistan?
No. Temu has been blocked in Uzbekistan since 20 March 2025 and, as of March 2026, was still blocked over unpaid taxes. The same company’s domestic Chinese platform, Pinduoduo, works through cargo.
Is the address the same for every app?
Yes. The DTD China address works the same on Taobao, Pinduoduo, 1688 and Dewu. What matters is your DTD ID on the name and address lines, plus “(By land)” for road cargo. The address is issued in the Telegram bot.
